Better Science.
Beyond Vision.
Indigo uses advanced algorithms and high-performance computing systems to automatically analyze complex data in clinical and life science laboratories. Our first products have used models of the physics and chemistry of instrumentation to identify problems with patient samples that are not easy to detect with the human eye. Since we are not limited in computational power or storage, we utilize explainable AI/machine learning (ML) in the work that we do to better understand diagnostic testing.
At the core of Indigo’s products is the ability to apply physical models to data. Our approach is different from most applications in medicine, where historical data dictates the model and is vulnerable to bias and inaccuracy. We use advanced AI/ML tools in our development, and we remain rooted in the physics of the measurement to produce medically sound, equitable, and unbiased results.
This is the power of Indigo’s software automation.
Consistent, reproducible results across all users.
If you think about most of the work that is done in the laboratory (and as well, most of the time required), they boil down to one key issue: real-world lab work is highly complex, and oftentimes, conventional data systems simply cannot find the right information. This means that ultimately, you become an inspector, trying to visually sift through data in a tedious, time-consuming process. It’s challenging for everyone in your laboratory to be consistently and reproducibly good at it, all of the time – which is essential, especially when working with clinical samples.
Now it is more important than ever to use automation to make the tests we all need faster, better, and more affordable. Automation in health-related laboratories frees human experts from repetitive and hectic jobs to do what humans do best: work in teams to accomplish what no one person can do by themselves. That requires critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and above all, the ability to communicate and collaborate across the lab with other experts.
